Lewis Ginter Gardens – Richmond, VA

The weekend celebration of Mom kicks off on Friday, May 6 with National Public Gardens Day. This day is designed to promote awareness of public gardens. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will have its historic Bloemendaal House open to the public from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. with free tours by knowledgeable Garden Guides where you can learn more about the history of the property as the Lakeside Wheel (or bicycle) Club built in the 1890s.  The celebration continues throughout the weekend.

East Coast Triathlon Festival

The Liberty University Online Academy East Coast Triathlon Festival is a full day triathlon event on May 1, 2016 with races for all ages and experience levels.  All races are completed on a course completely closed to traffic with multiple loops encircling the viewing area so that it is very spectator friendly. The course is perfect for the beginner of all ages. Bring your entire family out to race and make sure to watch the Youth & Junior Elite Race as well as this is only one of three in the country and will host 300 of the top 13-19 year old athletes in North America who are on the US Olympic track as they race head-to-head. Come be part of the most unique triathlon experience in the country.
